How to edit, add and download closed captions in multiple formats

1. In this video, I'm going to show you how easy it is to edit and change your closed captions.

The first step is to open your Eduvision portal and click on the highlighted menu icon

2. Click Manage Assets

3. Select the video you want to edit and click the highlighted edit icon

4. Slick Studio to get into our video editing studio

5. Click CC Editor

6. You can see your captions on the right side of the page. You can select any caption and edit it right there.

7. You can play the segment you just edited by clicking on the highlighted icon

This is very helpful for making sure the caption you edited matches the audio on the video

8. You can also see the captions in the video timeline at the bottom of your screen. Click on any portion of the video you want to edit, and it will bring your caption up on the right.

9. Now you can edit and preview as desired.

10. You can also add captions if you like.
Here we're focused on the end of the video and will add a caption there

11. Once you've selected the section where you want to add a caption, click Start Caption

12. Type your caption.in the box

13. Click End Caption

14. Scroll down and click Save Changes

15. You can edit your captions in various formats. Click Standard to see and edit in standard format. This is the default format.

16. Click Text to see and edit in text format.
You can see that the timestamps are all included and must be kept in that exact format to make sure everything works accurately.

17. Click Notepad to see and edit in notepad format. Again, note that the timestamps and other information like the closed caption number must be preserved in order for this format to work accurately.

18. Click the highlighted CC icon to download the caption file

19. Click the highlighted icon to download the transcript file. This file is often used to capture the transcript for long meetings such as board meetings.

That's it. You are done
